The Management Board of the University College, led by the Deputy Principal, Prof. Thomas Sakwa, received a team from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). The purpose of the visit was to conduct a monitoring and evaluation exercise aimed at assessing the implementation of SRC advice across all public universities. Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) successfully conducted the 2025/2026 Student Leaders’ Induction Workshop, bringing together 17 newly elected officials of the Student Association of Mama Ngina University College (SAMNUC) for a week-long leadership orientation held from 2nd to 7th November 2025. The intensive programme aimed to equip the student leaders with essential knowledge of their constitutional roles, governance structures, policies, and administrative procedures of the University College. Mama Ngina University students, accompanied by Dr. Elijah Maseno, the Chair of the Department of Computing and Information Technology, successfully attended the CyberWeek Africa 2025 Conference held at the Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete Campus. The conference, themed “Compliance by Design,” brought together leading experts in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital governance to discuss Africa’s digital resilience and innovation. Jamii Sacco visited Mama Ngina University College on 21/10/2025 to benchmark on the institution’s journey towards achieving ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certification. The visit provided a platform for sharing best practices, experiences, and insights on the implementation of quality management systems, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mama Ngina University College hosted Edwin Simiyu, Ag. CEO at KenyanNurse Consultants LTD  in a bid to explore possible areas of collaboration. Mama Ngina University College held its 5th Integrated Medical Camp on 11th October 2025 at the university college grounds. Led by the Dean School of Health Sciences Dr. Ruth Mbugua and the Head Student Affairs Ms. Josephine Nkangi, members of the community received free medical services and health education on prevalent conditions in the area. The medical camp offered various free services, with over 500 clients utilizing the various medical services. Mama Ngina University College reaffirmed its commitment to quality and continuous improvement through the recognition of its Quality Management System (QMS) Internal Auditors. In a brief ceremony, the Principal awarded certificates to the auditors in acknowledgment of their dedication and contribution towards maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.  

Mama Ngina University actively participated in the KIEP-SKIES training program, equipping young and enthusiastic tech professionals with critical skills in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Software Engineering. During the closure meeting, Mama Ngina University was recognized for its outstanding role in offering quality training to participants across the two cohorts  and was awarded a recognition certificate. This recognition highlights the university’s commitment to fostering innovation, empowering future tech leaders, and contributing to the growth of Kenya’s digital economy.

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) online application system is open for Revision of Choices for placement of students to universities and colleges for the 2025/2026 Placement Cycle. The Revision will run from 18th to 27th May 2025. Applicants who did not secure a course in the application that ended on April 30, 2025 are invited to log in again and choose remaining courses as listed on the portal. The Human Resource Office conducted a one day staff wellness sensitization and health check up activity for all MNUC staff on Friday 9 th May, 2025. The event was geared up to sensitize staff on mental health, substance abuse related issues as well as understanding the staff medical cover. The event was organized in collaboration with our partners Equity Afya, Madison Insurance, Tranquil medical, Supreme Dental and Eye Modes. Around ninety staff attended the sensitization and connected with the facilitators while also receiving general practitioner, dental and eye consultations.
