On Friday, 17th April 2026, MNUC successfully held its annual tree planting exercise, strategically aligning the activity with the onset of the April rains to ensure optimal seedling survival. The initiative was led by the Principal, Prof. Zipporah Ngángá, alongside members of the management team, demonstrating the institution’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability. The National Land Commission held a Public Participation meeting with the Project Affected Persons (PAPs) on 25th March 2026 at Mama Ngina University College (MNUC. The NLC is a constitutional commission established under Article 67 (1) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Mama Ngina University College’s 3rd Cultural Week was held at the University College grounds from Monday, 23rd February to Friday, 27th February 2026, bringing together students, staff, and invited guests for a vibrant celebration of diversity, cultural heritage, creativity, and unity. The MNUC Darts Team proudly represented the University College at the Kenya University Sports Federation National Play-Offs A held from 19th–21st February 2026 at Kabarak University in Nakuru County. Mama Ngina University College successfully held a research training on 4th February 2026 for academic staff and postgraduate students as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen research capacity and promote a strong research culture. The Office of the President and the National Treasury vide circulars Ref:OP/CAB.6/2A and Ref: NT/PPD/1/3/14 Vol.VI dated 5th June,2025 and 26th,March,2025 respectively communicated the transition and roll out of an End-TO –End Electronic Government Procurement System(E-GPS) for the Government of Kenya from 1st July ,2025. The Management Board of the University College, led by the Deputy Principal, Prof. Thomas Sakwa, received a team from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). Led by the Dean School of Health Sciences Dr. Ruth Mbugua and the Head Student Affairs Ms. Josephine Nkangi, members of the community received free medical services and health education on prevalent conditions in the area.
