Mama Ngina University College endevours to promote the health and well being of the local community. MNUC in partnership with Gatundu Level 5 Hospital organized a school health outreach activity at the Mutomo Primary School on 18 th June 2024. Led by the Dean School of Health Sciences Dr. Ruth Mbugua and the Sub-county Community Health Strategy Focal Person Mr. Joseph Kimani, the faculty from the School of Health Sciences held health education sessions with the Early Childhood & Development, Primary, and Junior Secondary School learners. This included health talks on General Hygiene, Oral Hygiene, Menstrual Hygiene, Sexual and Reproductive Health. Additionally, services provided included deworming of all the learners. To support the hygiene practices MNUC donated tooth brushes, toothpaste and sanitary towels.
