Mama Ngina University College is represented by Dr. Makiya Ratemo (Ag. Dean SPAS) and Mohamed Ali (PSC Intern) in a week-long Incubation Leadership and Innovation Management Program for universities in the East African Community (EAC). Other universities represented include Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Embu University, Open University of Kenya, Moi University and Meru University among others.
The training is taking place at the E4IMPACT Accelerator, located in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya between 18th November 2024 and 22nd November 2024. The week-long training ends with a benchmarking visit to the regional ecosystem.
The aim of the program is to enhance the operational efficiency and innovation capabilities of University Hubs and Technology Transfer Offices by providing comprehensive training, resources, and benchmarking tools to foster a more dynamic incubation ecosystem within higher education institutions.
This program is part of the larger Digital Skills for an Innovative East African Industry (dSkills@EA) project, led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA).
