Mama Ngina University College was honored to host a delegation from the Commission for University Education (CUE), led by Mr. Joseph Musyoki, Head of Institutional Accreditation. The delegation was received by the Principal as part of the ongoing journey towards attaining full university status and the award of a charter. This visit marked a major milestone in the University College’s pursuit of academic and institutional autonomy. The evaluation focused on a comprehensive review of the institution’s physical infrastructure, academic programs, staff qualifications, and governance structures, with the aim of assessing compliance with national standards for higher education. Additionally, the team examined the University and financial sustainability, ICT infrastructure, and internal quality assurance mechanisms to determine its readiness to support continued growth and deliver high-quality education. The findings from this rigorous inspection will inform CUE’s recommendations regarding the conferment of a university charter to Mama Ngina University College. Mama Ngina University College remains dedicated to implementing the insights and recommendations provided by the Commission. The institution is confident that this feedback will play a vital role in enhancing its structures, systems, and service delivery.
