On 6th of March 2024, the Leadership and Politics Club had an educational visit to the National Parliament. The tour was divided into two sessions; morning session visit to the Senate and the afternoon session to the National Assembly.

During the morning session at the Senate, the club members were recognized by the Speaker of the Senate. Youthful Senator Lemaletian Hezena, who identified with the students as a fellow comrade, graciously welcomed the team to the Senate gallery. She inspired the students to aim higher in their studies and pursue their academic goals with renewed vigor.

In the afternoon session at the National Assembly, the club members were honored with recognition by the Speaker of the National Assembly (Hon. Moses Masika Wetangula). After the plenary, they had the opportunity to engage with various Members of Parliament (MPs)

Benefits of the Educational Tour
Provided students with a firsthand experience of the legislative process, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the roles and functions of senators and MPs.

Allowed students to establish valuable connections within the political sphere, potentially opening doors for future collaborations and mentorship opportunities.

By witnessing the democratic processes in action, students gained a greater appreciation for the principles of democracy, governance, and the importance of political participation.
