From 17th to 18th October 2024, MNUC was present at the Annual ICT Directors Forum for Universities represented by Mr. Isaac Kuria,  the Head of ICT. The Forum organized by Kenya Education Network (KENET) brought together all ICT heads from Kenyan Universities and experts from the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy. Key issues discussed include Cybersecurity and Protection of Critical IT Infrastructure, Digital Campus Infrastructure Upgrade for Universities, Device Accessibility Affordability and Acquisition for Students and Staff, ERP Solutions and Enhancing ICT workforce in Universities.
The forum emphasized the significance of digital transformation for universities and the importance of building the right ICT workforce to manage the journey effectively with discussions centered on demystifying digital transformation, building an ICT workforce, and leveraging on effective ICT technologies for secure connectivity and collaboration. The  forum provided a platform for ICT leaders to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices for enhancing the resilience of institutional digital infrastructures as Universities continue to navigate the evolving digital landscape The forum also underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning in driving sustainable digital transformation.
