Visiting Delegation from Mama Ngina University College to the Senate | Study Tour 2025

A delegation of 15 student leaders, accompanied by the Head of Student Affairs and Outreach from Mama Ngina University College, visited the Senate as part of their study tour. They were warmly received by the Speaker of the Senate, who then invited the Majority Leader to formally welcome them.

In his remarks, the Majority Leader provided an overview of the day’s proceedings in the House. He commended the students for their interest in understanding the legislative process and encouraged them by noting that many current senators began their leadership journeys as student leaders. He further challenged them to actively participate in national affairs, emphasizing their role in shaping a better future for Kenya.

To further extend the Senate’s welcome, the Senator for Nyeri County was granted one minute to address the delegation, given that some of the visiting students hail from his county. Following his remarks, the Majority Leader was invited to also extend greetings and words of encouragement to the student leaders from Mama Ngina University College.

The Speaker concluded by thanking the delegation for their visit and reaffirming the Senate’s commitment to engaging with young leaders in educational and governance matters.
