Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) successfully hosted the 2026 Day of the African Child (DAC) commemoration under the theme: “Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa,” bringing together learners, teachers, education stakeholders, child welfare advocates and development partners in a vibrant celebration of children’s rights and wellbeing. The event featured mentorship sessions for learners, a teachers’ panel discussion, performances and keynote addresses focused on empowering children and shaping a brighter future for Africa. The mentorship sessions were guided by the theme “Unlocking the Greatness within Me,” while educators and stakeholders explored “Shaping Responsible, Healthy and Resilient Children for Africa’s Future.” The occasion provided a valuable platform for learning, inspiration and collaboration, reaffirming MNUC’s commitment to promoting child welfare, education, mentorship and community engagement.
