The 2024 International Women’s Day celebrations were held by MNUC Members of Management, students and staff on Friday 8th March, 2024 in the MNUC. The celebrations culminated with a presenation  aligned to the this year’s theme”Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress”

Dr. Ruth Mbugua -Dean, School of Nursing who was the keynote speaker delivered a speech on gender equality which served as the pinnacle of the event. With her unparalleled expertise and passion, she illuminated the audience with insights and perspectives that resonated deeply with the theme. Her words were not merely informative but transformative, igniting a renewed commitment to advancing gender equality. Dr. Ruth’s presence and message encapsulated the spirit of the event, inspiring attendees to advocate for inclusivity and empowerment in all aspects of society.

The attendees were also sensitized on the MNUC Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Policy by the Gender Focal Person, Ms. Josephine Nkangi
