MNUC Hosts Botathon #13: A Dynamic Showcase of AI and Data Innovation

Mama Ngina University College, in partnership with Tech Innovators Network (THiNK), successfully hosted Botathon #13, a vibrant two-day hackathon that brought together SPAS students, faculty, and industry experts to explore Artificial Intelligence (AI), data innovation, and emerging technologies. The theme of  the Batathon #13 was Speak Local Build Global “Voice enabled solutions in Kikuyu and Swahili”

1. Inspiring Conversations on Emerging Technologies

The event kicked off with engaging keynote addresses and expert-led technical sessions designed to equip participants with contemporary knowledge and practical insights. Key discussion areas included:

• Emerging technologies and their real-world applications
• Responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence
• Best practices in data management and governance
• Modern retrieval-augmented systems and AI-driven architectures

Participants not only gained valuable technical exposure but also connected with professionals and peers, joining a growing community of practice committed to technological advancement.
