Mama Ngina University College 4th Integrated Free Medical Camp

Mama Ngina University College through the School of Health Sciences led by the Dean Dr. Ruth Mbugua the Office of Student Affairs and Outreach under the guidance of Josephine Nkangi conducted the 4th integrated free medical camp on 12th October 2024 at the University College grounds. The medical Camp offered various services to approximately five hundred members of the community

During the medical camp approximately five hundred members of the community were attended where they received various medical services to include General Consultation, Pediatric, Dental, Dermatology, Optical, Family Planning, Orthopedic and Mental Health through psychological counselling. Cancer screening services were provided for Breast, Cervical and Prostate Cancer. This was possible through our partner hospitals; Aga Khan University Hospital-Nairobi, Avenue Health Care, Marie Stopes Kenya, PCEA-Kikuyu Hospital & Equity Afya. The community members were not only treated but were educated on prevention of various cancers by the Integrated Cancer Research Foundation and general prevention of lifestyle diseases Free drugs through the immense support from our sponsors to include Signature Health Care Ltd, Omaera Pharmaceuticals, Dawa Life Sciences Ltd, Villa Surgical & equipment’s, Sai Pharmaceuticals, Pan Pharmaceuticals, Gatundu subcounty, Madison Insurance and Cooperative Bank -Gatundu branch.

The success of the medical camp was due to immense support from the University College Management, staff and students, Gatundu South Subcounty MoH, Ng’enda ward MCA, Hon. Joe Kigara, community leadership through the senior chief Joseph Matheka and the Community Health Promoters through the community Health strategy focal person Mr. Joseph Kimani.

Isaac Kuria

Isaac Kuria, MSc. is a Computer Scientist and Head of ICT based at Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) with extensive knowledge in Computing Systems, Networks, Project Management, Web Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Search Engine Optimization and ICT Change Management. Isaac Kuria leads the ICT team with strategic and operational plans, ensuring the University technological needs are met with cost-effective, reliable, and customer-focused solutions. Isaac Kuria is also the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of MNUC.
