Culmination of Culture Week and Crowning of Mr. and Miss. MNUC 2026

Mama Ngina University College’s 3rd Cultural Week was held at the University College grounds from Monday, 23rd February to Friday, 27th February 2026, bringing together students, staff, and invited guests for a vibrant celebration of diversity, cultural heritage, creativity, and unity.

Students, grouped into Kenya’s former provinces (Nairobi, Central, Eastern, North Eastern, Coast, Rift Valley, Western, and Nyanza) kicked off the week with immersive exhibitions. Through traditional cuisine, artefacts, attire, music, and storytelling, each region offered spectators and fellow participants a deeper understanding of its unique identity. The exhibitions created a meaningful space to learn, debunk stereotypes, and appreciate the richness of one another’s histories and traditions.

Throughout the week, the campus came alive with a colorful and competitive showcase of narratives, poetry, folk dances, musicals, vocal performances, and drama; each presentation reflecting the beauty and depth of our shared cultural landscape.

The celebrations culminated in the announcement of the overall winners and the much-anticipated Mr. and Miss MNUC Pageant. Congratulations to the Western Region for taking home the trophy in what proved to be our most competitive year yet. We also extend heartfelt congratulations to the newly crowned Mr. and Miss MNUC, Tony Ochola & Jan Reginald Akinyi, for emerging victorious among their peers and representing the spirit of excellence and cultural pride.
