ANNUAL TREE PLANTING 2026

On Friday, 17th April 2026, MNUC successfully held its annual tree planting exercise, strategically aligning the activity with the onset of the April rains to ensure optimal seedling survival. The initiative was led by the Principal, Prof. Zipporah Ngángá, alongside members of the management team, demonstrating the institution’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

A total of fifty-seven (57) members of staff participated in the exercise, partnering with Gatundu Water and Sanitation Company to plant 4,000 indigenous tree seedlings at Kinale Forest in Marigoiti. The activity forms part of MNUC’s ongoing efforts to contribute to national afforestation targets, enhance biodiversity, and promote climate resilience.

Beyond tree planting, the event also served as a platform to foster teamwork and environmental stewardship among staff, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to sustainable practices and community engagement.
