Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) successfully concluded its 2026/2027 Academic Year Orientation and Matriculation Week, formally ushering over 1,200 first-year students into the university college fraternity. The week reached its climax on Monday, 31st August 2026, with the solemn Matriculation Ceremony at the MNUC Grounds. The event opened with a procession of academic staff robed in their respective regalia, led by the Principal (Prof. Zipporah Ng’ang’a), Deputy Principal (Prof. Thomas Sakwa), and Registrar (ASA) (Dr. Benson K. Mburu).

Following the administration of the Matriculation Oath by the Registrar (ASA), the incoming cohort affirmed their commitment to academic excellence and compliance with institutional regulations.
In her keynote address, Principal Prof. Zipporah W. Ng’ang’a congratulated the incoming students and outlined the expectations governing university life:
Core Values Alignment: Students were urged to embody the institution’s core IDEA-C values—Integrity, Diligence, Excellence, Accountability, and Creativity.
Academic Integrity: The Principal reiterated that academic dishonesty carries severe penalties, explicitly noting that all forms of examination cheating result in immediate expulsion.
Drug-Free Campus Policy: MNUC maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against drug and substance abuse on campus grounds.
Responsible Autonomy: New students were encouraged to practice responsible self-management, balance their newfound freedom with personal discipline, and make full use of university academic and mentorship resources.
Looking Ahead, lectures for the 2026/2027 Academic Year officially commenced on Tuesday, 1st September 2026. All students are expected to adhere strictly to their respective school timetables.
